I just got done adding a quick way for people to look up their camera compatibility with Arsenal. Camera’s basically fall into three categories: fully supported, likely supported, and partially supported. Fully supported means we have tested on the camera and it’s good to go. Likely means we haven’t tested on the camera, but the library we’re using to communicate with the camera supports the needed features.
Partial support means the camera doesn’t support all features needed to make every feature of Arsenal work. Arsenal is able to “gracefully degrade”, meaning if one feature isn’t supported, all parts of Arsenal that don’t use that feature continue to work. For example, some camera’s API’s don’t support bulb mode, so no feature on Arsenal that take a single shot for more than 30 seconds will work.
